Where can I find quotes of Robin Williams talking about Jonathan Winters? I just need a quote of Robin Williams saying how he idolizes Jonathan Winters.
Tracer replied: "go to robinwilliams.com"
ajimmer replied: "When Robin Williams calls him his mentor, Jonathan rebuts, "Please, I prefer, idol." (1st link)
Known for his numerous characters and voices, his stream-of-consciousness humor has influenced countless other performers, a prime example being the contemporary comic actor Robin Williams. (2nd link)
ROBIN WILLIAMS/COMEDIAN: "For me, he was the guy that I saw make my father laugh, and I went, God, that must be amazing, because my father was a tad stern." (3rd link)
He's (Williams) made it no secret that comedian Jonathan Winters has been his biggest influence from early on. And certainly, hearing Winters launch into an interview between himself and his alter-ego, the mischievous, gun-toting, 10-year-old Chester Honeyhugger, one witnesses the similarity between Winters and Williams' forte for acerbic personalities. Robin Williams Quote: What does it mean? Hi everyone,
I found a quote about Canada that Robin Williams said. Could someone tell me what he meant by it?
"Canada is like a loft apartment over a really great party."
So, he is saying Canada is boring? We are lame? LOL ,
Arms Akimbo replied: "Well, Canada is north of or above the United States. The US is the party because of all the chaos, drama, and general stuff that happens there. So Canada is just chilin' in the loft above, not invited to the party."
are you a robin williams fan? can anyone give me the quote from a robin williams movie where he gives the definition of "home"? I want the quote and the movie. First correct answer gets the points. Happy searching!
Enrique G replied: "love awakenings"
**mama pequena** replied: "I LIKE HIM BUT I CANT QUOTE HIS STUFF"
macybluedawn replied: "I think he is a great actor. I like all his movies, I liked Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, Awakenings,The Birdcage, a few favs. Sorry, I dont knowthe quote."
Dr. Stupid replied: "Hook. I cannot remember the quote, but I think it was something about Jack and Maggie."
animal71 replied: "Right on the tip of my tongue too!!!!!"

You can have a 3 course meal from one dog. Start with your Canine Coup d'etat go to your Fido plum bake blancmange. For desert a Pekinese par bake and you can pick your teeth with a little paw"

stand@btinternet.com replied: "I think you will find most of these recipes and (and many others) in any of many North Korean cook books, available at your local book sellers at a very reasonable price I'm sure.
P.S. What ever you do , don't let the local "Animal Rights" people find out what you've been eating! I'll stick to corned dog.
Bye."
pelotahombre replied: "I believe the "dog, sir?" quote is from The merchant of Venice. I can't be 100% sure without scanning the play again, but I believe it is Shylock speaking to someone in the courtroom. Try that play before you go to far elsewhere."
QISHC replied: "Why R U after dogs? May be the dead poets liked the dish but U R not dead yet!"
kit walker replied: "A little mustard can go a long way,a long way."
Ok so Dave Chappelle or Robin Williams who's funnier and you gotta say why? It's friday you aint doing ish and neither Am I so use quotes, situations what ever you gotta do just make me believe/ or laugh. Hell tell me a Joke too IF YOU CAN.
So a bear and a Rabbit are taking a ish in the woods and the
Bear asks the rabbit, Do you ever have problems with Ish sticking to your fur?
The rabbit calmly replies "No I've never had that problem."
So the bear wiped his ass with the Rabbit. Thats my time folks.
Honestly to be funny you have to be somewhat offensive. If you tell cute joke with a nice little bowtie and ribbon on them it's okay but... You guys have to admit that Chappelle show was hilarius supposedly he went crazy and all but thats some bull. THe block party come on why would anyone dis that, you really don't like Common, talib, Fugees, Mos def, Kanye I would pay my rent to see them all at once.
howthehellshouldiknow replied: "Robin Williams of course! He's funnier because he is not offensive."
amberwavessss replied: "If you think Robin Williams isn't offensive you just haven't seen enough of his act! LOL He's more perverted than he is hairy. It's not all goofy cartoon voices. I think Robin Williams is funnier, he's more versatile and will always keep you guessing. Chappell's extremely funny but he sticks to one theme.
Sorry, no joke to add. :("
Grendle replied: "Well, Williams used to be pretty funny. Now he's just scary-wierd.
Chappelle? Dave Chappelle? He's supposed to be FUNNY?
Shoot, I thought he was like, community theater. Full of RELEVANCE and MEANING and SOCIAL COMMENTARY. Plus he ran out on his fans becuase being rich and successful and adored was just too HARD.
Wah wah wah.
Neither one of these guys is worth a steaming pile of bear "ish" these days, even if you had all the teflon rabbits in the world."
chiefhandsome replied: "The first answer is total bull, Dave nvr discriminates, its just humor just like Carlos Mencia, ppl need to buy themselves some sense of humor cuz too many dont have any humor bone in them"
taf_1974 replied: "That is a hard one, but I have to say Robin Williams. That man's mind is still on drugs even if his body ain't no more!"
cosaxteacher replied: "Robin Williams because his comedy has stood the test of time (he's been doing it for nearly 30 years), his is less offensive or attacking of people, and isn't going to stop being funny when something in society changes, which will easily happen to Chappelle's jokes. On another part, it is hard to compare since they are two different types of comedians. It isn't like they both do a simple stand-up routine full of jokes. One does satire better (Chappelle) and one does zany crazy stuff better (Williams).
A bear walks into a bar. Bartender asks him, "So what'll it be?"
The bear responds, "I'll have a rum and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, coke."
The bartender asks, "Why the big pause?"
"I don't know," the bear says, "I've always had them!""
1hogfan replied: "Dave he is more offensive. However if you have not seen his block party that was out in theaters a while back you are not missing much"
Mergirl07 replied: "Yeah, Robin Williams. Cause hes in all those funny movies like Mrs. Doubtfire and Flubber (you know what i mean even if i didnt get the name right)"
What quote has been with you and helped you through? Mine would have to be "It's not about understanding it's about not giving up" and it was from the movie "what dreams may come" said by Robin Williams. That quote hits me because I usually do give up but then I think of that and then I get back to trying everytime I fail and I try not to give up hope and I do something til I succeed at the goal

Reading Desiderata has, at times, kept me sane when I felt my world was insane. It has calmed me and has encouraged me many, many times since I first read it about 40 years ago.
